  • Woodstock Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

    Woodstock summer concertWith 30 degree weather plaguing the city, it is hard to even comprehend that spring and summer aren’t too far in the future, but we’ve got some great news that will help you start thinking warm and get you geared up for the upcoming summer months. Every year starting in May, Downtown Woodstock hosts a free summer concert series. All concerts are held on a Saturday evening and begin at 7:30 p.m.; however, it is highly recommended to get there early if you want a good seat. You can bring coolers, food, chairs, blankets and more. In addition, there will be food vendors on site and games held to keep the children occupied while you wait for the band to start. Really, there is hardly a better way to spend a summer evening.

    Well, the 2010 line-up was just announced this week and there are some amazing acts coming to downtown Woodstock:

  • Enjoy Valentine’s Day in Atlanta

    On any given weekend, there are hundreds of things to do in Atlanta, but during a holiday weekend, like this weekend, there seems to be thousands of things to do. Residents at Liberty Park are going to have a difficult decision on how to spend their Valentine’s Day weekend because the city is buzzing with parties, restaurant specials and other celebrations, all of which are conveniently located near the intown Atlanta townhome community. Isn’t living in Atlanta fantastic? You’d much rather have the dilemma of too many things to do instead of nothing to do. Anyway, here are some highlights of this Valentine’s Day in Atlanta:

    Friday, February 12th:

    • Champagne & Chocolate Masquerade Ball – Kick off the weekend with a delectable chocolate-themed soiree. The Sky’s the Limit club is hosting their 3rd Annual Masquerade ball at the Spring 4th Center. They will have a chocolate dessert buffet as well as overflowing chocolate fountains. It’s a Black Tie Optional affair and masks are required, however if you don’t have one you can purchase one at the door for $3 – $5. Price is $20 per person and includes champagne and the chocolate buffet. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

  • Where to Watch the Super Bowl in Woodstock

    This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday, the biggest American sporting event of the year.  Even non-football fans enjoy watching the Super Bowl for the amazing half-time show and even the creative commercials. A monumental event like the Super Bowl is not meant to be watched at home all alone, you need to be surrounded by people, great food and great fun.

    Anyone living in LakeStone, the Cherokee County new home community from Sharp Residential, should just head down Main Street to Downtown Woodstock. Right Wing Tavern, which is located in Old Town Woodstock’s historic train depot, is home to the largest projection screen in the whole county. Plus, they have an all-American menu that features hot wings, the football staple.
