• Woodstock Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

    Woodstock summer concertWith 30 degree weather plaguing the city, it is hard to even comprehend that spring and summer aren’t too far in the future, but we’ve got some great news that will help you start thinking warm and get you geared up for the upcoming summer months. Every year starting in May, Downtown Woodstock hosts a free summer concert series. All concerts are held on a Saturday evening and begin at 7:30 p.m.; however, it is highly recommended to get there early if you want a good seat. You can bring coolers, food, chairs, blankets and more. In addition, there will be food vendors on site and games held to keep the children occupied while you wait for the band to start. Really, there is hardly a better way to spend a summer evening.

    Well, the 2010 line-up was just announced this week and there are some amazing acts coming to downtown Woodstock:

    • Sister Hazel on May 8th
    • Great American Rock and Roll on June 12th
    • Atlanta Rhythm Section on July 10th
    • Chuck Wicks on August 21st
    • Swingin’ Medallions on September 18th

    The city of Woodstock hosts events like the summer concert series on a regular basis, which is one of the most appealing aspects about living in the city. On any given weekend, you have the opportunity to join other Woodstock residents at a one-of-a-kind local event. Woodstock is truly a remarkable city to call home.
