It’s time once again for the Cherokee County Indian Festival and Mother’s Day Pow Wow. Now in its 21st year, the celebration has become one of Cherokee County’s most anticipated and popular events with over 7,000 attendees expected. It’s a two day festival that takes place during Mother’s Day weekend, meaning the 2010 event will be on Saturday, May 8th 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday, May 9th from 11 am to 6pm.
The event is fun for the whole family and filled with exciting activities like a bike show, drum competition, iron man competition, American Indian dance competition, re-enactments, tipi competition, primitive skills demonstrations, warriors on horseback, reptile show, birds of prey, hoop dancers, Aztec dancers, live buffalo, arts and crafts, authentic food (like gator tail and roasted corn), kids activities and so much more! Sharp Residential has begun the final phase of construction at Liberty Park townhomes. 2010 brings sales and growth to Sharp Residential’s Lakestone subdivision in Woodstock, Georgia. Despite the current economic times, the Atlanta lake community has enjoyed much success, and builder-developer Tom Sharp says that he looks forward to opening Phase II of this 203 home community by the fall of this year.
